Safety Rules & Participant Disclaimer
1. General Safety Requirements
- Follow all signs, inductions, booking limits, safety instructions, and reasonable directions from CrickZilla staff or coaches.
- Wear clean, enclosed sports footwear and suitable clothing. Keep bags, food, drinks, and loose items outside active play areas and clear of walkways/exits.
- Do not climb or pull nets, frames, or screens; tamper with machines, CCTV, alarms, or safety systems; enter restricted areas; or use equipment without authorization.
- Stop play and report damaged nets, gates, flooring, bats, balls, helmets, machines, cables, lighting, or other hazards immediately.
- Violence, bullying, harassment, reckless play, deliberate damage, and conduct that endangers another person are strictly prohibited.
2. Protective Equipment
- Hard-Ball & Machine Batting: Requires a properly fitted cricket helmet with faceguard, batting gloves, batting pads, and appropriate abdominal/groin protection.
- Wicketkeepers & Fielders: Wicketkeepers up to the stumps and close-in fielders must wear activity-appropriate head and body protection. A compatible neck protector is strongly recommended where applicable.
- Equipment Condition: Protective equipment must be correctly sized, fastened, and in safe condition. CrickZilla may require additional protection, reduce machine speed, or stop play if conditions are unsafe.
- Soft-Ball Activities: For soft-ball or introductory activities, protective requirements are set by the coach/staff member according to age, activity, and ball type.
3. Activity-Specific Rules

| Lane + BOLA Bowling Machine | Machine use requires the correct booking and any required induction. An authorized adult/staff operator must control the machine. Use only approved balls. Never enter the delivery line or clear a jam while the machine is energized. Speed/settings must suit the batter. |
| Box Cricket | Follow the match format, ball type, capacity, and staff instructions for the booking. No dangerous play, deliberate body-line throwing, or unsafe bat swinging. Spectators remain outside the active area. Organized tournaments are staffed-only. |
| Coaching & Training | Follow coach instructions and disclose information reasonably relevant to safe participation. Children remain subject to CrickZilla child-safety and supervision rules. Training intensity and equipment are adjusted to age, ability, and fitness. |
| Virtual Reality (VR) | Staffed-hours only. Complete the briefing; remain inside the marked play zone; use supplied straps/guards; stop if dizzy, nauseous, disoriented, or unwell. Follow each game's age/height/health restrictions. Do not run into walls, furniture, or other players. |
| Birthdays & Events | Staffed-hours only. The organizer must provide accurate guest/age information and notify CrickZilla of relevant allergies or medical conditions. Children must be appropriately supervised. Food/decorations must follow the booking conditions; no alcohol, smoking, or vaping. |
4. Children, Age, and Supervision
- The person making a booking must be 18 years or older.
- A participant under 18 must have required parent/legal guardian consent and appropriate adult supervision unless attending an expressly supervised CrickZilla program.
- During staffless access, no unaccompanied minors are permitted; the approved adult booking holder must remain on site and supervise the group.
- Machine speeds, VR experiences, and other activities may be restricted according to age, height, experience, ability, manufacturer guidance, or CrickZilla safety requirements.
5. Health, Injuries, and Emergencies
- Participate only when fit and able. Stop if you experience pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty, nausea, disorientation, suspected concussion, excessive fatigue, or other symptoms making participation unsafe.
- Tell CrickZilla or the relevant coach about medical conditions, allergies, disability, injury, medication, or other information reasonably relevant to safe participation or emergency response. Only necessary information should be provided.
- CrickZilla may provide reasonable first aid within available competence and contact emergency services. Ambulance and medical costs remain the participant's/guardian's responsibility, subject to law and insurance.
- Call 000 for a serious injury, fire, security threat, or other emergency and follow displayed evacuation instructions.
6. Medical Expenses Reimbursement
- CrickZilla does not reimburse medical expenses. Participants are encouraged to secure their own insurance.
- CrickZilla staff are trained in the use of first aid, and the venue has a first aid kit; however, staff and the facility will not be liable for any accident/injury.
7. Surveillance and Filming
- By entering the Centre, you agree for your image, likeness, or voice to be used as part of any video, recording, or photography (Image) by CrickZilla (or its authorized representatives) for marketing the Centre’s business.
- You acknowledge that CrickZilla owns all rights (including intellectual property rights) in such Images and has the right to use, reproduce, or license these Images without obtaining further consent.
- Personal photography/videography is welcomed under the following conditions:
- Must be limited to family or friends and must not include anyone who does not consent.
- Must be for personal use only (in any medium) and not for commercial exploitation, advertising, sale, or distribution without CrickZilla's prior written approval.
- No photography, recording, or filming is permitted in the change rooms.
8. Confidentiality, Privacy, and Intellectual Property
- Protection of commercially sensitive and confidential information/records and intellectual property together with protecting personal information in accordance with privacy laws.
- Requirements:
- Take steps to protect confidential information and intellectual property and only use them for the purpose authorized by CrickZilla.
- Collect, use, store, handle, update, and destroy information in line with applicable policies and procedures.

9. Risk, Responsibility, and Property
- Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks including impact from balls or bats, collision, falls, strains, equipment contact/failure, physical exertion, and for VR, motion sickness, disorientation, and collision while vision is restricted.
- Participants must act within their ability, wear required safety gear, use equipment correctly, and follow instructions. Parents/guardians must ensure minors understand and follow applicable rules.
- To the extent permitted by law, CrickZilla is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to unattended personal belongings. Keep valuables secure.
- A customer may be charged reasonable repair, replacement, specialist cleaning, or call-out costs for damage caused by deliberate conduct, reckless behavior, misuse, unauthorized use, or negligence (ordinary wear or pre-existing defects excluded).
- Nothing in these policies excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer guarantees, statutory rights, remedies, or liabilities under Australian law.
10. Participant Risk Warning
Participation is voluntary and involves inherent and obvious risks that may cause property damage, serious injury, permanent disability, or death.
